LIFE SCIENCE IMAGING CENTRE

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has built a central research facility, the Life Science Imaging Centre (https://lsic.hkbu.edu.hk/) to support and promote cutting-edge neurocognitive studies across disciplines at HKBU.  LSIC is equipped with a high-performance 3T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system that enables researcher to explore the structure and function of human brain.  A high-performing computing server has been set up to support MRI data analysis.  Applications are invited for the following post:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and research support in cognitive neuroscience and other MRI related research areas, such as task-programming and MRI data preprocessing;
  • Operate and maintain equipment booking, and other administrative duties relating to MRI facilities; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • A master’s degree in sciences or other related disciplines (e.g., Psychology, Computer Science); 
  • Experience in conducting collaborative research with researchers and able to work in collaborative with a multidisciplinary team;
  • Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
  • Experience in MRI or database/computing server management is preferable.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years.   Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
